We have national training bodies in every major walk of life. But look at the lack of such national bodies in politics. This remains an inexplicable exception even 60 years after independence. Sixty years in which India has been shaped by policies which could have been better, had training and grooming opportunities for our political leadership been around. Our leaders run the country, yet their grooming is not a subject of concern. Bureaucrats, doctors, lawyers, engineers, painters, fashion designers, accountants, journalists, all have finishing schools. Is it not time to raise at least one for those who aspire to lead others?
