NEW DESIGNS
Textile Minister Shankersinh Vaghela is really in the hot seat (IE, October 2005). While on the one hand he has to grapple with India’s competitors worldwide, on the other he has to look out for fellow politicians who want to see him fail. But knowing Vaghela, it would take a lot to beat him at his own game. With the textile sector having the capacity to provide millions of jobs, let’s hope he succeeds.

YOUTH WINGS
This is regarding “Youthful Reunion”. It is usually the young who have the strength of mind and will power to be able to make sacrifices to achieve their goals.” It is proved that hard work and dedication give the best results. Really, our young generation is doing exceptionally well in all fields. Truthfully speaking much better than than oldies. Might be because they are daring in their thinking in their field. Have latest and international knowledge of the subject in which they are dealing.

The above is equally applicable in politics. The young must come forward to lead India. There should be age limit for public positions: contesting elections to Parliament or state Assemblies etc—let the age limit be maximum at 65 years. All politicians must retire gracefully above 65 years. By the way how many of our elected representatives are young?
