THE MIRACLE OF MENTAL HEALING

In the earlier articles we have discussed the importance of certain concepts like consciousness, prana and chakras which form the basis of spiritual healing. Now let us move our focus to the introduction of the technique of healing. In our Vedic scriptures spiritual healing has been described as an extremely powerful, yet a simple science. In our forthcoming articles, we shall discuss the simple techniques of spiritual healing, using which the practitioner can bring about miraculous relief to an ailing person.

There are two aspects to spiritual healing - healing of the self and of others. Before we begin any kind of healing we must seek our Guru's blessings as we are only the medium for the prana to flow and the source is elsewhere. Now, sitting in a comfortable position with your spine straight, close your eyes and visualise your Guru (whoever, wherever, whichever form your Guru may be in) six inches above your head. Next, bring your awareness to your Anahat chakra, at the centre of your chest cavity, in the form of a whitish pink lotus. Then, maintaining slow and comfortable breathing let the lotus rise gradually upwards towards your Guru. At exactly this moment let the lotus merge with the Anahat of your Guru with a powerful flash of whitish pink light.

When self healing, maintain your awareness on the vast expanse of whitish pink which you would experience on merger with your Guru. Maintain this state till you do not experience any discomfort physically without moving.

After a while, seeking your Guru's permission move your awareness to your Ajna (the spot between your eyebrows) and from here gradually diffuse into your complete physical being, washing each and every cell of your body with whitish violet colour. Spend some more time on the weak areas of your body which require healing, wishing that area to be the way you want it to be.

The physical ailments and basic discomforts of your physical being can be effectively overcome by following this very simple technique.
