Please let us know about the boating units developed by your department in Telangana…

Telangana Tourism has developed boating facilities at Hussainsagar Lake, Durgam Cherevu and Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad. Other places in the districts include, Alisagar – Nizamabad, Maneru Dam – Karimnagar, Nagarjunasagar – Nalgonda, Singur Dam – Medak and Laknavaram in Warangal.

 

What are the main festivals of Telangana that NRIs can be a part of?

Telangana is known to be one of the places where different festivals are celebrated with pomp and gaiety. The art forms of the Telugu people manifest all-year round in the form of dance, drama, music and other performing arts including folk arts. Festivals such as Ganesh Chaturti, Bonalu, Batukamma festival coincides Navarathri festival draws huge crowds. Yedupayala jatara and one of the biggest Tribal Jatara Sammakka and Saralamma Jatara. Hyderbad being the most cosmopolitan city is host to several festivals celebrated by all the Indian communities. Telangana Tourism and Happening Hyderabad has a calendar of events listing all the events that take place in Hyderabad which will be of interest to NRIs
