The Jamdani weaving had its ups and downs but with the unfaltering efforts of the finer weaver, the fabric been popularized. Today the Bangladeshi women take pride in wearing them at national events. Jamdani saree has become a symbol of identity, dignity and self-recognition. Jamdani fabric is also used as dupatta (stole), scarves and kurtas. Jamdani has become one of the few flagship products of Bangladesh which has been contributing in promoting and projecting the image of the country in the world. Jamdani is popular across all segments of population, even among those who do not wear sarees. Thanks to all the master weavers of Jamdani in Bangladesh.
