Bollywood stars could get up to 6 years jail for poaching

A court in Rajasthan has pronounced charges against five top Bollywood film stars, including Salman Khan, for poaching endangered blackbuck deer in the state. The other stars, including Saif Ali Khan and actresses Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu, have been charged for abetting the killing of two blackbucks in Jodhpur. If found guilty, the actors could face a penalty of one to six years in prison.

Corrupt Customs waives ECNR

The CBI raided the Protector of Emigrants office at Thiruvananathapuram and seized Rs 50,000 cash along with bottles of imported liquor and forged documents. Unaccounted money was also recovered from the bank accounts of various officials. It is a known fact that officials collect an average minimum of Rs 40,000 in bribes daily from recruiters, travel agents and job seekers wanting to go abroad. A good share of the money is reportedly sent to senior officials at the Protector General of Emigrants in New Delhi.
