Salman Khan makes it to Madame Tussaud’s? 
Madame Tussauds of London is reportedly gearing up to place a wax replica of Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan on display by January 2008 and going by the popularity of the star in India and abroad their choice cannot be faulted. Salman will make a worthy addition to the Bollywood section of the gallery which has honoured Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan with wax replicas.
 

Mallika Sherawat has hair styled inside salon pantry 
Mallika Sherawat chooses to have her hair styled inside the pantry of stylist Dilshad’s salon to avoid being mobbed by fans. Dilshad shares, “Yes, we style her hair inside the pantry. It is only to avoid the crowd that is a usual scene at our salon. When Shah Rukh Khan or Preity Zinta come to the salon, people do check them out too, but with Mallika it is something else. Men and women alike stare at her. However, as a person she is very chilled out, and I wish there were more celebrity customers like her.”

Sushmita turns producer with Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi 
Sushmita Sen turns producer with a movie on Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. She will portray the character of the legendary Indian queen. Sush shares, “It isn’t just another ambitious project for me. It’s a legacy I will leave behind to the world. This is celebrating history, so whatever I do, will be a part of history. I want to release the movie in early 2009.” She will be going to China to train herself in martial arts. It will help her acquire a more flexible body before she stars filming.

Tanushree Dutta gathers SPEED while playing DHOL 
Tanushree Dutta has been having an eventful year so far. First to come is Priyadarshan’s high profile project Dhol, which is a comic thriller. The film is said to be doing well and is said to be a laugh-a-minute riot. A week later her two-years-in-the-making Speed is to be released. It is directed by Vikram Bhatt. A Harry Baweja production, based on the Hollywood thriller Cellular, Speed has Tanushree playing Zayed Khan’s love interest in the film. She has also been in the news recently for signing a children’s film where she is required to play a character on the lines of Lara Croft from The Tomb Raiders series. As a preparation for her role, she is also learning martial arts.

Kunal Khemu turns to anchoring 
Kunal Khemu is really excited about playing the host at the Indian American Achiever’s Awards in Washington, D.C. Says Kunal, “This is the first time I will be anchoring any live event since my entry in Kalyug. This is something very prestigious that has come my way. The entire who’s who of the NRI community and many important people from the American bureaucracy would be there. This is the only reason why I accepted the proposal even at the last moment.”
