MIND AND BODY

Physical desire is human, and normal

For a sadhak the story has a very deep meaning for he understands that once he treads and progresses on the path of sadhna, he would face a lot of hindrances. But he has to ignore them and continue to reach his goal
In the last article we mentioned the story of Rishi Vishwamitra and Maneka and that it has a bearing on all levels of modern society. For a person who doesn’t believe in spirituality it is just additional proof of the falsehood of sadhanas. For any normal person this story tends to awaken the interest to meditate. The person feels it is meditation which makes the heavenly fairies descend to entice the practitioner. This is the only implication for him in this story. For a sadhak the story has a very deep meaning for he understands that once he treads and progresses on the path of sadhna, he would face a lot of hindrances. But he has to ignore them and continue to reach his goal. He understands even for a normal initiate it is absolutely out of the question to get overpowered by the physical urges or desires and so it is out of question for a Brahma Rishi. He knows Vishwamitra in his early years had suppressed his desires for the opposite sex so even when he reached the level of a Brahma Rishi still that one desire had not been fulfilled. Not that it mattered but it was against nature. For any human it is essential to go through all the different aspects and experiences of the human Yoni. Hence Maneka was sent by the Gods to help Vishwamitra evolve out of the human existence. We have not heard of Vishwamitra actively since then.

For a guru just the dhyan on this aspect of Vishwamitra would be enough to give him the gyan of man-woman relationship.

A human has to go through all the aspects and experiences of the human Yoni. Hence Maneka was sent by the Gods to help Vishwamitra evolve out of the human existence

Both men and women in each other’s life are not just for the purpose of pleasure or a distraction from what one wants to achieve. In fact a being is incomplete without the opposite sex, incomplete not just in the physical aspects of life but also the spiritual aspect.

In a series of articles I will explain the concepts of Shiva-Shakti, five types of marriages, auras in general and harmonious auras and disharmonious auras between two people, in specific. I would also explain in detail, how to identify a partner who is conducive and who has to be avoided, based on one’s individual aura. I shall also mention certain asanas which are recommended for a harmonious relationship.

By now we understand the whole creation exists in duality and for achieving anything in this manifested creation both aspects (the male and the female) are essential. A human being consists of not just the physical body but also an energy body. This energy body constantly interpenetrates the physical body and directly controls the physical body. All actions and aspects of the physical self are controlled by this aura which is a system of nadis (energy channels) and chakras (energy centres). There is a constant transference of energy happening here. The energy required to achieve anything or to manifest anything in the physical is also generated here. These nadis and chakras are responsible for achieving anything and everything physical like wealth, pleasures, spiritual growth etc.

We shall continue with our article in the next issue.
