FRANCOPHONE DIASPORA DELEGATION
WARM REUNION
A large delegation from Reunion Island, France was in India in August. The delegation was led by Mr Theophane M Narayanin, Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in La Reunion. Other members from the Chamber included Mr Jean-Marc Nourby, Mr Cyril Rickmounie, Mr Emmanuel Quemper. This was the first time that such a delegation had come to India to prospect opportunities for furthering business and commercial ties with India. The majority in the delegation were people of Indian origin. 

Those representing diverse businesses in Reunion included Mr and Mrs Virama Acama, Mr Gilbert Canabady Moutien, Ms Elisabeth Ramassamy, Ms Adeline Paloc and Mr Willy Imare. 

Representing the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) were its President Mr Paul Canaguy and his wife Mrs Antoinette Canaguy, Vice President and journalist Mr Jean Regis Ramsamy, Treasurer Mrs Jasmine Poule Amogom. 

Mr Daniel Minienpoulle represented the Federation Tamoule De La Reunion. 

Members of the delegation moved to Chennai and Pondicherry before returning to their country. 

While in New Delhi during the first leg of their visit to India, a dinner was hosted by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the delegation members, members of French embassy, French companies and representatives of Indian chambers and businesses. We bring you snapshots of the evening held on August 16.
