MIND AND BODY

Ancient Indian texts hold the key

For an initiate just meditating on these texts is enough to open the third eye and give visions of the deepest mysteries of the physical and the Inner World. Such is the power of these texts

What we perceive with our five senses is just a fractional level of what the whole Brahmanda or creation is. The total existence is much more than just the physically manifested creation. The manifested and the unmanifested are the two macro components in which creation exists. To be precise the manifested is what attracts and interests a normal being or a householder and the latter is the subject matter for a sadhaka only.

The manifested creation comprises of the Trinity viz. Brahma (the creator) Vishnu (the preserver) and Shiva (the transformational force) and all the three are seen with their respective consorts viz. Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi and Mata Shakti. But the existence of the three as seen as couples is not just a coincidence or an urge for procreational pleasures.

It indicates to normal beings or humans that manifested creation, which is a whole of creation, preservation and transformation is incomplete without the combination and harmonious interaction (union) between the male and the female aspects. This has been explained to us by our Vedic masters in ancient texts.

Indian mythology is not just a collection of fairy tales to keep one amused and neither are they just myths. Our vedic rishis gave us these words of wisdom for the harmonious functioning of creation. The words of wisdom given by the ancient masters when understood open the doorways to the functioning of creation and gives insights into the deeper aspects of mans nature, they explain to us in details the reason for our actions, who we are, where we are heading and about the energies controlling creation.

The level of Gyan given by them is so deep that it would make any Indian proud to say “I have descended from these masters and not from monkeys, and those who want to believe that their ancestors were monkeys are free to believe so”.

For a common man they are stories which are just enough to get him interested in the world of the spirit. For a sadhaka each text opens a new doorway into the secrets of the Inner World. For an initiate just meditating on these texts is enough to open the third eye and give visions and gyan of the deepest mysteries of the physical and the Inner World. Such is the power of these texts.

Let us take the story of Vishwamitra and Maneka from these texts. Everybody knows that Sri Vishwamitra was a Brahma Rishi and he had the capacity to create a parallel universe. Once when he was in deep meditation, Maneka enticed him and his Dhyan was broken. They lived together after that as man and wife and they had children. In our next article we explain in detail the implication of this incident on people at different levels of evolution in modern day society. It is not just a mere story but has a deep meaning.
