CHANDIGARH—THE NEW OPPORTUNITY

Not a day passes without announcement of some projects being launched or some completed. The plethora of projects holds one advantage for the consumer—choice. The boom has ensured that in every segment, there are multiple projects to choose from. For the actual user of the property, the power of choice is a godsend; for the investor, it could well be a nightmare.

Chandigarh for one is an ideal example. The region is considered one of the most livable in the country and currently offers value for money. With new IT parks and a large number of industries being established, there is huge potential for housing in the area. A number of residential projects are coming up but the largest one approved by the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) is the Emgreen Group’s “Opera Gardens”.

The project takes its name from the musical fountains that will be installed in the development. A staggering 13 acres of land constituting 68% of the plot size of 19 acres will be open area. The project itself will have an eclectic mix of three and four bedroom apartments, penthouses and modern studios and facilities like an air-conditioned club, wi-fi internet, shopping arcade, library and other amenities.
