India and Côte d’Ivoire have enjoyed excellent relations for several decades. They cooperate in areas such as agriculture, health, technology, education, and capacity building (scholarships under the ICCR and ITEC programs).

A few years ago, India granted Côte d’Ivoire credit lines for several projects. Some of these projects have now been completed, while others are still underway.

These projects include, among others, the installation of rice processing and vegetable oil extraction facilities, the modernization of the fishing industry, the renewal of the urban transport system in Abidjan, and the construction of power transmission lines between Côte d’Ivoire and Mali. The most iconic project receiving financial support from India is undoubtedly the Mahatma Gandhi IT and Biotechnology Park in Grand Bassam, about fifteen kilometers from Abidjan.
