DIPLOMATS TO INDIA EMPIRE

Select The Country:

GAMBIA

DECEMBER 2017

In The Gambia, "the smiling coast of Africa", agriculture accounts for approximately 25% of the nation's GDP and employs almost 70% of the labour force. It is one of the priority sectors in the development plan of the Government, thus policies are geared towards creating a conducive environment for profitable investments. The country has 558,000 hectares of arable land of which 55% is currently under rain dependent agricultural production. There is great potential in the agricultural sector as the country's climate is suitable for year round harvests using irrigated fresh water from the River Gambia, harvested rain water, and fossil water. The Gambia's private and public sectors will give all the necessary support and incentives to potential investors.
