The Indian Government following the recent general elections took office on May 30, 2019. Among the top foreign policy priorities for Prime Minister Modi, in second term, is to further strengthen Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership with Russia. Hence, there will be a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Putin on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek (June 13-14, 2019). It is also expected that the two leaders will meet for the G20 summit in Osaka. Prime Minister Modi is expected to visit Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum in early September, 2019.
