From the point of view of bilateral trade and investment, valuable contributions have come in from Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, Federation of Indian Export Organisations, and from Mr Abhishek Poddar, Vice Chairman (Food and Beverage Sectoral Committee) at the Trade Promotion Council of India. We also have snapshots of how members of FIEO and the World Trade Centre, Mumbai, have very recently engaged with the Indian Mission in Port of Spain.

The QUAD—a strategic dialogue and partnership between India, Australia, Japan and the United States that envisaged the establishing of an Asian Arc of Democracy—met in August to discuss multilateral cooperation. Issues of common interests including collaboration in resilient supply chains, emerging and critical technologies, maritime security, counter-terrorism, infrastructure and connectivity, higher education, cyber security, climate change and humanitarian assistance were among issues discussed. It was a follow up of a summit held in March that was attended by the Prime Ministers of India, Japan and Australia and the President of the USA. We have a report.
