India Condemns Terrorism

An Indian all-party parliamentary delegation in Malaysia paid tribute to a 26/11 victim, reinforcing India’s firm global stand against terrorism

Kuala Lumpur: An all-party Indian delegation on the Operation Sindoor diplomatic outreach, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, paid a heartfelt tribute to the Malaysian national who lost her life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The Indian High Commission in Malaysia posted on X in June about the solemn occasion and the delegation’s engagement with Malaysian media and civil society. “All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by Hon’ble MP Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, interacted with representatives from major Malaysian media outlets and social media influencers. They briefed them on the purpose of their visit, discussions with Malaysian interlocutors, and India’s current zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. The delegation also honoured the Malaysian national who perished in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack and underscored the grave threat terrorism poses to all humanity,” the mission stated.

Earlier, the delegation met members of the Indian diaspora in Kuala Lumpur, reaffirming India’s principled and steadfast opposition to terrorism. They outlined the persistent challenges India faces from cross-border terrorism, citing specific incidents like the brutal attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.

The briefing featured a comprehensive explanation of Operation Sindoor, highlighting India’s evolving and robust global strategy to counter terrorism. Diaspora members, especially from the Malaysian Indian Muslim community, voiced strong support for India’s efforts and firmly denounced all forms of terrorism.

The Malaysia visit concludes a multi-nation tour that included Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia. Besides JD(U) MP Jha, the high-level delegation included BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Brittas, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, and former Indian Ambassador to France, Mohan Kumar. The delegation’s mission reflects a united Indian stance against terrorism and seeks to enhance international cooperation in tackling this global scourge.
