France Engagement Strong
Powerful Display of Solidarity: Ravi Shankar Prasad Lauds Indian Diaspora in France during Op Sindoor Outreach
Paris: As part of Operation Sindoor, a major global diplomatic effort, an all-party parliamentary delegation led by senior BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad engaged with the Indian community in France, reaffirming India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. The delegation arrived in Paris in May, aiming to communicate India’s firm and united message on national security and counter-terror strategy. On social media platform X, Ravi Shankar Prasad shared:
“Along with my delegation colleagues, I engaged with the vibrant Indian community in France, reaffirming India’s unwavering stance against terrorism. The diaspora’s powerful display of solidarity was both impressive and deeply emotional.”
The Indian Embassy in France also posted about the visit: “The All-Party Indian Parliamentary Delegation had an in-depth and interactive discussion with experts from various French think-tanks. The think tanks were briefed on India’s strong and clear message against terrorism.”
The conversations focused on India’s counter-terror operations, especially the objectives behind Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The nine-member delegation reflects a diverse political representation, including:
Daggubati Purandeswari (BJP)
Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena UBT)
Ghulam Ali Khatana (BJP)
Amar Singh (Congress)
Samik Bhattacharya (BJP)
M. Thambidurai (AIADMK)
Former Minister M.J. Akbar
Former Ambassador Pankaj Saran
France marks the first leg of a six-nation European tour that will also take the delegation to Italy, the UK, Germany, Denmark, and other European countries.
The bipartisan nature of the delegation is a deliberate signal of India’s unified front on issues of national security. By engaging with stakeholders and diaspora communities, the delegation aims to reinforce India’s position: cross-border terrorism will be met with firm and collective resistance.
With the Paris leg completed, the delegation continues its Europe-wide diplomatic outreach, carrying forward India’s strong and united message on terrorism.
