India-Kuwait Terror Dialogue

Kuwait City: BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, leading an all-party delegation in May, reaffirmed India’s resolve against terrorism during interactions with Indian regional media and Kuwait’s press.

Panda said, “India stands firm — we will confront terrorism with strength, unity, and determination.” He also discussed India’s strategic partnership with Kuwait in fighting terrorism. Earlier, the delegation visited ‘Rihla-e-Dosti’, a historical exhibition showcasing 250 years of India-Kuwait friendship at the National Library of Kuwait.

They later participated in a traditional Diwaniya-style interaction with Kuwaiti civil society, co-hosted by the Indian Embassy and a think tank, involving royals, ex-ministers, editors, and opinion leaders.

Discussions centered on the “new normal” policy and global security threats, with unanimous consensus that terrorism is a threat to humanity. The delegation also engaged with the Indian diaspora and met Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Saad Al-Maousherji, reiterating India’s stand against cross-border terrorism and Pakistan’s role in destabilizing Jammu and Kashmir.

India’s zero-tolerance policy, non-escalatory response to Pahalgam, and Operation Sindoor were emphasized, drawing appreciation from Kuwaiti counterparts. The delegation included MPs from BJP, AIMIM, and independents like Ghulam Nabi Azad and diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla as part of India’s Operation Sindoor diplomatic outreach.
