Slovenia Supports India

Ljubljana: A delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi concluded a “highly productive” visit to Slovenia, emphasizing India’s zero tolerance stance against terrorism and nuclear blackmail. During meetings in May with Slovenian Association for International Relations (SDMO) President Marjan Setinc and others, the delegation discussed Operation Sindoor and India’s strategic response post the Pahalgam terror attack.

According to the Indian Embassy in Slovenia, the meetings strengthened bilateral understanding and support for India’s anti-terror doctrine. The delegation also met National Council President Marko Lotric, commending Slovenia’s role in promoting global peace and its clear condemnation of terrorism.

On the first day, they met foreign policy committee leaders and India-Slovenia Parliamentary Friendship Group members, reiterating India’s zero-tolerance approach and national consensus on terrorism. Further interactions with State Secretary Vojko Volk and Slovenian media highlighted India’s “new normal” and earned appreciation for its measured yet firm response to cross-border terrorism.

Engagements extended to dignitaries from government, academia, think tanks, and the Indian diaspora at a reception hosted by Ambassador Amit Narang. The delegation, part of the Operation Sindoor campaign, arrived in Slovenia after a successful visit to Russia, continuing India’s global messaging on terrorism.
