The Global Tourism Awards 2025 illuminated the world stage, honouring excellence, innovation, and leadership across the global travel and hospitality industry.
A Grand Beginning
The September evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising unity and the radiant future of global tourism. A captivating fashion show followed, inspired by India’s architectural marvels — Dwarkadheesh Temple, Laxmi Vilas Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Gota Gullu Temple — blending heritage and modern creativity.
Saluting Vision
The awards celebrated the vision of Mr. Anil Sharma, Founder of the Global Tourism Awards, whose insistence on a sponsor-free platform has set a global benchmark in credibility.
Tourism veteran Dr. Subhash Goyal lauded the initiative:
“By keeping sponsors out of contention, Mr. Sharma has ensured these awards remain true to merit.”
A distinguished jury comprising Mr. M. P. Bezbarua, Mr. Vinod Zutshi, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, Mr. Nakul Anand, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Mr. Karim Al Minabway, Dr. Subarno Bose, Dr. Subhash Goyal, Mr. Kapil Kaul, and Mr. Sandeep Sinha underscored the event’s credibility.

- Best Domestic Tour Operator: Travel Catalyst Destination Pvt Ltd (North India), Southern Travels Pvt Ltd (South India)
- Best International Cruise: Costa Cruises by Lotus Destinations
- Best Luxury Hotel: Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati
- Each award was judged on impact, innovation, sustainability, and contribution to tourism development.

Special Honorary Awards celebrated individuals who transformed tourism and media with their vision:

- Mr. Raj Singh, Antara Cruises – for pioneering river cruising in India.
- Mr. Ajay Jain, Andhra Pradesh Tourism – for eco-friendly destination development and investment-driven growth.
- Mr. Harpreet Singh Dardi, Charhdikala Group – for promoting Punjabi heritage and media innovation.
- Mr. Arun Sharma, Media Federation of India – for empowering journalists and media educators.

The awards looked ahead to a tourism industry driven by sustainability, digital innovation, and cultural collaboration. The jury emphasised tourism’s growing role in economic growth and international cooperation, with India positioned as a key global influencer.
The evening concluded with a second fashion sequence that merged fashion and heritage. Mr. Sandeep Marwah remarked: “Tourism is not just about travel, it’s about culture, creativity, and identity.”
