New Delhi: Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, on November 26 paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, terming it an “attack on humanity”. He expressed Israel’s commitment to working with India to defeat terrorism in all its forms.

Israeli Tribute to Mumbai

In a video message shared on X, Azar stated that the attack targeted people of every community, nationality, and faith. He said Israel understands the pain of losing innocent lives and fighting back with courage, clarity, and determination.

Global Solidarity in Focus

Azar further highlighted that shared experiences between India and Israel form the foundation of their deep and enduring partnership. “As we remember 26/11, we reaffirm our shared values, freedom, democracy, and the belief that life must always triumph over hate. India, you are not alone. Israel stands with you today, always,” he added.

Earlier, French Ambassador Thierry Mathou also paid tribute to the victims, reaffirming France’s condemnation of terrorism and support for India. The 26/11 attacks in 2008 targeted multiple locations in Mumbai, claiming 175 lives, including 26 foreign nationals and 20 security personnel.
