Information technology and business are becoming inextricably interwoven. I don't think anybody can talk meaningfully about one without the talking about the other.

—Bill Gates

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates couldn’t have said it better. Indeed, both IT and business are inextricably interwoven like never before in history. Whether it’s a pilot’s dependence on air traffic control for landing on the right tarmac, or a housewife’s tryst with an online vendor that allows her to order vegetables and dairy items at a time of her choosing, our world is increasingly driven by information technology (IT), and its famous first cousin—the app.

IT is relentlessly pushing the frontiers of technological excellence. It’d only be fair to say that at the forefront of this exciting scientific churning are men like Asoke K Laha, President and MD of Interra Information Technologies. Mr Laha is a wonderful example of why India’s stock all over the world is so high, especially when it comes to the IT terrain. Currently InterraIT, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, works with several Fortune 1000 companies. It boasts of a sales network spanning the USA, Canada, India and Japan. Mr Laha’s story is as much inspirational as it is one of diligence and hard work. Quality and value for customers form the core ethos of his firm, and his team. Mr Laha who plays a key role in top Indian business chambers has given us an engaging interview which should be a must read for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
