Qatar Visit Concludes
Op Sindoor Outreach: Supriya Sule-led Delegation Concludes Qatar Visit, Heads to South Africa
Diaspora Praises Forces
Meanwhile, members of the Indian diaspora in Qatar have strongly commended the Armed Forces and the Modi government for their robust response to terrorism through Operation Sindoor, voicing deep appreciation during a community event held under the visit of an Indian all-party parliamentary delegation in May. The visit to Qatar was the first stop in a four-nation diplomatic tour, led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, following the Pahalgam terror attack.
“At an interaction with the Indian Community in Doha tonight, the parliamentary delegation from India gave the message of India’s united fight against terrorism. This was the concluding programme of their visit,” the Indian Embassy in Doha posted on X. The delegation’s visit was planned in the aftermath of the heinous April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam and the subsequent launch of Operation Sindoor, a calibrated counter-terror initiative meant to dismantle cross-border terror networks and project a clear global message.
Following the interaction, diaspora members offered vocal support for the Indian Armed Forces and the government. “We want them to carry forward the message our Prime Minister is sending through Operation Sindoor: going forward, any terrorist activity originating from Pakistan will be seen as an act of war,” said one community member.
“I am very pleased that a multi-party delegation has come to Qatar... The actions taken by the Government of India under Operation Sindoor were properly explained. We were informed about many things that we did not know. India always stands firmly against terrorism with a policy of zero tolerance,” said another.
The delegation’s inclusive, multi-party composition was also praised by the community. “We are very happy that our Prime Minister has taken a commendable initiative by sending delegations across the world. It is a matter of pride that opposition parties were included... It sends a powerful message that on national security, India stands united,” one participant remarked.
Against the backdrop of global tension, community members welcomed the clarity and engagement.
“We have complete information about the situation in India, and we received more detailed insights here about Operation Sindoor. It is very important that we give a strong and fitting response to terrorism so that no one dares to commit such an act against our country again,” said another.
During their stay in Doha, the MPs held high-level engagements with Qatari dignitaries, interacted with media representatives, think tanks, and leaders from the Indian community. The Indian Embassy called these interactions “fruitful” and crucial for strengthening people-to-people ties.
With the Qatar leg concluded, the delegation is now proceeding to the next destination in the diplomatic mission — taking with them a unified Indian message: terrorism will be resisted with unwavering resolve, and the Indian diaspora stands firmly with the nation’s leadership.
