ABOUT H.E. DOYKOV

Mr Doykov was born on January 31, 1964 in Bulgaria. He arrived in India...

Mr Doykov is a co-author of the book “The Benghazi Case: Bulgarian Diplomacy in Action” and author of the book “A New Beginning: Bulgarian – Arab Relations in the Period 2004-2008”. He has written two articles on Bulgarian-Indian relations and Bulgarian-Nepalese relations. He has delivered lectures on theory and practice in conducting international negotiations at the European College of Economy and Management (ECEM), Plovdiv.

Ambassador Doykov is recipient of a number of awards and distinctions, such as: Gold decoration of honour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for long impeccable service at the Ministry of Foreign Affaires and his birth anniversary (2014), Order of the Tunisian Republic (2012), Silver decoration of honour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for systematic high achievements in the field of the diplomatic service (2011), Silver decoration of honour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the successful organisation of the evacuation of the Bulgarian citizens from Lebanon during war activities (2006), Award of honour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for contribution to the successful completion of the 12th Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of OSCE in Sofia (2005), Medal on the occasion of 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the USA (2003).

In February 2017 Ambassador Doykov was awarded a Gold Medal by Amity University for fostering international diplomatic relations with India. Upon the unanimous nomination of the Board of Advisors of the Global Film Festival Noida 2017 in November 2017 he was awarded a Hindi Cinema Samman (Indian Cinema Award) for continuous support to Indian art, culture and media and entertainment industry. On February 9, 2018 he received the “Outstanding Ambassador of the Year” Award from the Unity International Foundation.

He speaks English, French, Arabic and Russian.
