The Presidential election was fair and open. There were some 83 observers from foreign countries and media outlets such as Associated Press, Fuji TV, Al Jazeera, Xinhua and observers from the Association of Asian Election Authorities, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe – OSCE, Slovakia, Great Britain and embassies of the United States, Australia, Japan in Mongolia.

The Election Commission took care of all the doubts regarding the fairness of the election by hand-counting all the ballots at 2087 voting stations and the results of the hand counting fully tallied with the automatic ballot counting machine.
