Expanding Central Asian Ties
India and Kazakhstan continue to build a strong trade partnership, with both sides exploring new opportunities for balanced and diversified economic growth.
Robust Bilateral Trade
Kazakhstan remains India’s largest trading partner in Central Asia. In 2024, bilateral trade between the two nations reached USD 981.2 million, reflecting sustained economic engagement. From January to August 2025, the trade turnover stood at USD 605.2 million, demonstrating the continued vitality of the partnership.
Kazakhstan’s exports to India amounted to USD 268.3 million, while imports from India totalled USD 336.9 million, indicating strong demand for Indian goods and services in the Kazakh market.
Expanding Export Potential
To further enhance trade momentum and restore positive growth dynamics, Kazakhstan is prepared to expand exports by USD 148 million across 40 product categories. Key focus areas include metallurgy, food processing, chemicals, and engineering, all of which offer significant potential for collaboration and investment.
