Bill Drayton, celebrated business leader and founder of Ashoka:

Overall, he always wanted to be an entrepreneur, having started out as one at age 24. It helped that the family had the background it did have. It never occurred to him to get employed, and from a very young age he knew that he would become an entrepreneur. He describes being an entrepreneur as being hugely empowering, and allowing him to actually contribute to charities that he likes. Enterprise, says Dr Palan, helps you to employ people, and empowers you in different directions.

We have an interview with Mr Mohammed Salem Omaid, CEO and President of the Azizi Bank of Afghanistan, that is now trying to extend its footprints in India. The bank is promoted by the influential Mr Mirwais Azizi of the Azizi Hotak Group and family. The bank employs more than 1,500 persons, has more than 145 branches.
