India’s global story continues to expand—with enterprise, diplomacy, and ideas driving its momentum. This November 2025 issue of India Empire captures that vitality, showcasing leaders and institutions whose vision is shaping the nation’s next chapter at home and abroad.

Our cover story spotlights Mr Sushil Bedarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Bedarwal Group, whose foresight has transformed large parts of North India’s real-estate landscape. From pioneering land aggregation in Haryana’s growth corridors to landmark housing projects in Gurugram and Yamuna Nagar, Mr Bedarwal has built with integrity and intention. His philosophy of creating “Assets for Life” symbolises value that endures and communities that flourish. As he reminds us, success lies not in numbers but in the smiles of families who live in the spaces his Group creates—a principle that echoes India’s own vision of sustainable, people-centred growth.

On the diplomatic front, India’s engagement with the world grows ever deeper. The India–Canada reset has opened a new chapter of cooperation in education, climate action, and innovation, as External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand steer relations onto pragmatic ground. Across the Atlantic, the arrival of Ambassador Sergio Gor, the new US envoy, signals a reinvigorated partnership rooted in shared democratic values and technology-driven collaboration.

Across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, India’s outreach is widening. In Uganda, Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh’s participation in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative illustrates India’s blend of environmental commitment and developmental diplomacy. In Mauritius, High Commissioner Anurag Srivastava advances clean-energy cooperation through floating solar projects. In Uzbekistan, Ambassador Smita Pant continues to strengthen healthcare and traditional-medicine partnerships—proof that India’s wellness diplomacy now travels far beyond its borders.

We also feature a special interview with H.E. Mr Jagannath Sami, High Commissioner of Fiji to India, in conversation with India Empire’s Consulting Editor (International Affairs) Bula Devi. He reflects on Prime Minister Modi’s 2014 visit to Suva, the enduring legacy of the Girmitiya community, and how cooperation in education, tourism, and climate resilience continues to strengthen India–Fiji relations.

Cultural diplomacy remains an important bridge in India’s global engagement. In Colombia, Ambassador Vanlalhuma inaugurated a new India Corner at Bogotá’s Utadeo University, while in China, Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat presided over the launch of Hindi studies in Shanghai’s international schools—both symbolic of India’s expanding soft-power footprint.

This edition’s special segment, “Foreign Embassies Speaking to India Empire,” features insightful messages from the Ambassadors of China, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Latvia, and the Spokesperson of Israel. They share perspectives on strengthening ties with India across trade, education, green technology, tourism, and innovation—highlighting New Delhi’s growing diplomatic goodwill that stretches from East Asia and the Baltics to Africa and South America. Their collective voices reaffirm India’s reputation as a trusted, forward-looking partner in an interdependent world.

At home, India’s priorities remain aligned with inclusive growth and sustainability. The Government’s push toward clean energy, digital infrastructure, and affordable housing reflects a long-term commitment to balancing progress with responsibility—values mirrored in the Bedarwal Group’s philosophy of lasting value creation.

As the year draws to a close, India Empire remains dedicated to chronicling this ongoing journey—of builders and diplomats, innovators and change-makers, and of a global Indian community that continues to inspire connection and confidence. The stories in this issue affirm that India is not merely participating in the world’s conversations—it is helping lead them, with conviction, character, and compassion.
