How do you view Prime Minister Modi’s impact on India’s global presence?
Prime Minister Modi has emphasised India’s rise as a leading world power. The G20 Summit in New Delhi demonstrated India’s capacity to unite countries and deliver solutions on challenging global issues.
What is Australia’s assessment of its partnership with India within the Quad?
We see ourselves as a reliable partner working for stability, sovereignty and prosperity in the region. Through multilateral cooperation — including with ASEAN, IORA and Pacific partners — we aim to ensure that smaller nations have a strong and respected voice.
Where are India and Australia enhancing collaboration against major security threats?
We work closely on cyber security, sharing responses to cyberattacks. Our counter-terrorism positions are fully aligned and we coordinate actively in international forums. Agencies on both sides also collaborate daily to combat narcotics trafficking, people smuggling and other transnational crimes.
How will cooperation on renewable energy — particularly solar and green hydrogen — expand in future?
Australia has pioneered crucial solar technologies and holds a strong portfolio of renewable energy patents. We aim to use this expertise to help India achieve its clean-energy goals and generate new opportunities — especially for youth and women — in green jobs.
