Yes. It was the first ever visit paid by the Prime Minister of India to Mongolia. N. Modi ji delivered a speech at the Mongolian Parliament in which he outlined the perspective of relations. During his visit both sides concluded over a dozen agreements and turned a new phase in their relations by announcing Strategic Partnership.

Our collaborations are exponentially growing in multiple areas including agriculture, animal husbandry, mining and light industry. They will play a substantive role in our economies so Mongolia and India collaboration have ample room for growth.

We accord particular importance to our relations with India and consider her as our “Third Neighbor”. We both are peace loving nations, free from any military alliances, are constructively collaborating within the framework of United Nations, Non-aligned Movement, World Trade Organization, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and UNFCCC in order to avoid conflicts and facilitate understanding and cooperation in the interest of our two nations and for the good of universal well-being.

Mongolia expressed its intention to join the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) to reactivate its collaboration with regional institutions like Colombo Plan (CP) and Asia Africa Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO).
